For most brides out there, the wedding only seems real once the guests start showing up. For most brides, family and friends could be coming in from all over, then you’re probably going to want to spend some real quality time with them before the wedding. But, you’ll find that time restraints in the few days before your wedding may restrict that quality time you want with your friends and family. That is part of what makes a wedding day brunch so attractive.

Why plan a Wedding Day Brunch?

For the most part, a wedding day brunch is merely just a time to spend with close friends and family on your wedding day, without the stress and anxiety. A wedding day brunch is a great way for the bride and her family to spend more time with her bridesmaids, family members, and other special friends and people in her life. Another great benefit is that it’s just a time of relaxation for the bride before the wedding.

Where to Have a Wedding Day Brunch?

Generally, a wedding day brunch can be anywhere. Look for a nearby tea house to host a tea party with a fancy luncheon. To keep from stressing over the brunch with your other wedding planning, a wedding day brunch can be as simple as ordering sandwiches from a nearby deli and sitting together in a park before you start getting ready. You could choose to host the party the host the party at a friend or family member’s house. If you ask a friend to host, be sure and help her with the food, but you could serve fruit trays, sparkling juices, and a platter of bagels and croissants.

Who goes to a Wedding Day Brunch?

It varies from couple to couple, just invite whoever you want to attend. Sometimes brides will only invite women from both sides of their new family, but it could be your whole side of the family, or really a combination of anything that you like. Just be aware that you need to watch the time to know when to break away to go get ready for your wedding.

One of my favorite things about a wedding day brunch is that you get to see some of the friends and family members who have come long distances to see you. Dear friends and family who you rarely get to see during the regular year have taken time and money to come see you get married. A wedding day brunch is a great way to relax and spend time with them before the wedding starts. Not only that, but you’ll also be able to make some cherished memories as well.
